If you were to design a weapon what would it be? Would it be a small hand held weapon or would it be a large one? Would it be bladed or not? Would it be held in one had or both?

One handed for me. I prefer to keep one hand free for grabbing. I don't want to kill, so probably not bladed. Solid though, to defend against bladed weapons if necessary. Probably with a few protrutions along the lenth of it, for easy striking of pressure points.

Mine would be small, compact, easy to use with minimal training, non-lethal yet powerful enough to floor anyone, and legal to possess in most states. Hey, that sounds like pepper spray. That's it! Perfect.

My American TAO sensei took some Kama's and tied a string to the ends. Thus he could swing them. He made a really nice kata out of it from Demo's.

I believe the weapons you are refering to are called ksuri-gama. They are a modern adaption on the original kama.

Wait, hold on.........ksuri-gama are attached by a chain aint they? WAit, no.....yes....no........GGGGRR I forgot.

Oh well, when I find my books I can tell you.

I'm not too good at designing new weapons myself. I spent 2 years of my life trying to build a real lightsaber from Star Wars. I'm came real close, but not close enough.

Something that fits on the hand, think Wolverine from X-men.

Again, something that fits on the hand but not along the Wolverine lines, maybe some sort of fist-shield type thing.

I changed my mind, I wanna create the kid-chucks. Put a small, well trained kid on the end of a rope and swing around.

Sorry, just watched Jet Li's The Enforcer.
