I agree with having respect for your sparring partner.Whenever I spar with somebody I always touch pads with them to show them respect and no hard feelings.I also bow to them and the referee.
Golddragon I think you should really write a book.I would buy it if it came out on sale in the UK

when we spar we alway bow then touch ands and then fight!!!

LOL!
Before we spar, we sit about 2 feet apart sitting down (indian style) facing opposite ways,then jump to our feet and spin facing each other , we then bow, touch gloves,then spar!

When ever we do Kumite, we bow to referee and to each other. Then we wait for HAJIME. Then we go at it!!!!
