If this goes well, I can see a Feanor saga in the works. It seems likely to me that they would want to test a show with characters that movie fans were familiar with before pushing beyond that.

Fingers crossed. Though i'm not sure how they would represent Morgoth since he is depicted as being so massive

My best guess is that he would speak through avatars or in the shadows, saving the CGI budget for the Fingolfin fight and the stealing of the silmaril by Beren.

Good shout!

The other series i would love to be made would be the Malazan Book of the Fallen. Would be hard to do it justice but could be amazing if done right

Yeah! That second trailer looked great. I know I should curb expectations, but I'm hyped.

I'm still not sold on the idea of warrior Galadriel but i'll give it a shot!

They also have had a full 5 seasons confirmed so they should be able to build a nice arc

5 seasons to start with! That sounds promising.

I've watched the first few episodes. So far, so good! They have really kept the epic scale that was felt in the movies.

Yeah the first couple of episodes were ok, quite slow but felt like they were building.

They really have spent a lot of money on it though - is very obvious!
