I have decided to do some research for when I get out of high school. Does anyone have information about MMA cometitions contracts? I would like to start out with smaller comps to get my foot in the door for bigger things.

Find a good gym. After awhile you should take every chance you get to travel and compete even if you don't get paid. You'd be surprised how well known you can get from doing that. The real fun comes when you're actually invited to travel and compete. It's all up hill from there

Don't expect to make a living at it, there is not a lot of money in it for anyone but the very top guys.

I don't mean to try to make a living at it, just make enough money to pay for learning martial arts, it would kinda be like free lessons.

Start out in small shows and work your way up...helps if you find a school or teacher who has produced some big name fighters.
