About a year ago, NAPMA filed for bankruptcy. Century then bought it.
Did Century make any changes, or is it overall the same?

Are you sure Century bought NAPMA? Century seems to have a sweethart deal going on with MAIA. After Colasanti took over as president I know the Mag (Martial Arts Proffesional) stepped a bit away from the business and refocused on instructional issues. But I'm not a member, I just get the monthly publication (sales pitch).

It took me a while, but it was in Black Belt magazine June 2004 issue page 20 and reads:
Oklahoma city, Ok- Century Martial Art Supply recently purchased the National Association of Professional Martial Artists, a Clearwater, Florida based company that had gone bankrupt. NAPMA will be operated independantly with its own management team and staff at its current headquarters in Clearwater.
Plans call for the NAPMA monthly package and publication, Martial Arts Professional, to continue to be produced. John Corcoran who currently helms Martial Arts Success, will serve as the Magazine's new editor. |

Am I the only one who sees the irony in an organization that tells folks how to be successful declaring bankruptcy? |

That is a bit on the ironic side now that I think about it............ _________________ Adam (Fluffy) Huntley
