I watched a movie last night called "Ninja Assassin". It was made in 2009 and had was set in the present, but it included all of those "cheesy" things that the 80's ninja movies had. And it had some incredible fight scenes, although mostly because of the weapons. Not much hand to hand combat, but the fights were fun.

Never seen it. I may have to see if it is on Netflix, as well.

I saw it, and I can only agree that the fight scenes were fun. Just too flashy and not very realistic. But for anyone that has an interest in ninjas or assassins, I'm sure they'd enjoy it.
