Hi again,

I didn't know if I could reply to all who replied to my previous message or not. So I just made a new thread. Sorry if I'm not following protocols. Okay, does anyone know of a move, gather or motion which can be applied to the nunchaku to "snap them back" fast enough so that they don't hit the wall if I miss the target? (I.e. an attacking opponent, etc.) Because that's what I was really trying to overcome in my last thread. I don't really want to strike the wall, but I might by accident and as a result, damage my chucks. So if anyone knows what I can do to snap them backwards fast enough with practice, please tell me!
I know, I can just get a metal pair, but I made these wooden ones all myself. Plus they were the first weapons I made. So they're real special to me.

Thanks!

Yes when you swing them pull your fist back, and downwards to your stomach. Practise this a few times so you dont hit yourself in the nuts. also when it flys back at you its a good time to practise recovers. ex... a side swing the nunchaku will sideways and start the pullback and the nunchaku will swing downward immediatly to you hand or your nuts if the timing is slightly off.

once you become really good at the nunchakus there should be almost no body contact at all and if there is it should be light contact like a feather hitting you.

Try using deceleration loops to the side or over head to slow them down and regain control before recatching. It is a valid and traditional way to maintain control.
