everyone has different opinions on pressure points. Some people tell you they think they can use a "death touch", and I've talked to a Kempo instructor who thought that pressure points were worthless. I think you should incorporate them into your techniques but not get lazy and believe they are the ultimate goal of any art. As for my favorite, a senior student in my school was in a fight in egypt when he was depolyed there with the national guard. He used one of sifu's simpler "pressure points", a wheel kick to the back of a guy's leg and knocked him out cold .Thanks! |

I think pressure points can be quite dificult to pull off against an experienced grappler or striker, though they could work against an unskilled fighter. |

I believe pressure points can be effective against opponents of varying skill level...however i think you have to train in them for ages before you can use them well.

Yeah, they suck. Makes you angry and maybe you choke him too hard. |

It truly depends on who is teaching you the pressure points. Not many points can you just touch lightly with your finger. They can be pulled off on more advanced fighters if the training is right. Just my opinion |

I guarantee you, in certain situations, I can break a hold with certain pressure points.
However, they are better at setting someone up for a hold, than to escape from one. |
