Apparently I was supposed to be promoted to orange belt at the beginning of march. But my name wasn't on the promotion list so I had not idea. Then today when I went to class I noticed my attendence card showed that I was promotoed on the 3rd. But, i wasn't there that day. So supposedly, i've been an orange belt all this time wearing a yellow belt...haha..I guess there was a mix up and they forgot to tell me. I'm getting my real promotion this thursday. (I hope i'll be there this time. ) And so is my sister (she's going to yellow!)
and also, kind of ironic, I just made orange belt on this forum too. It's been a good monday. _________________ I never said it wasn't dangerous. |

red dawn how does your promotion system work?
We have to do a grading that involves passing or failing on that day - we are judged by 6/7 Sensei and given marks out of 10, usually 5/6's.
I sometimes think that if you are of a nervous disposition (especially the cadets) then your results on that day are disappointing. If we were judged based on the way we train etc I can't help thinking that might be fairer. |
