I can't say I have seen many that I know shave.
I myself have been shaving my entire body for several years now. Not for MA reasons but because I don't like being as hairy as I am (pretty much as shaggy as Robin Williams).
I think shaving looks better as well. Helps show off the defined muscles you get with intense MA training IMO. _________________ 43 Years old

I haven't heard of anyone doing this except swimmers. Do you know why other athletes do it? _________________ Aamorn - KSW Chuhng Di |

i have "heard" some people do it so they can get out of arm bars/leg locks, etc easier...but im sure most of it is just cosmetic. |

What is weird about shaving your legs and body? Most women I know these days would rather a man be smooth than super hairy.
I would not have shaved my body except I fall in the later catagory and I am always hot and less body hair seems to help me stay cool especially in summer. _________________ 43 Years old

I shave before a fight, because there is a lot of "incidental" hairpulling while grappling. _________________ Trainwreck Tiemeyer

Interesting topic. I would never shave my legs. I would feel like a little boy again. LOL _________________ 2nd Degree black belt in Kenpo Karate and Tae Kwon Do. 1997 NASKA competitor-2nd place Nationally in Blackbelt American Forms. Firearms activist! |

hmm... i have been shaving since i was about 11 long ago..
it does keep you cooler during hot days, it helps the sweat to
run off easier when you are running miles in a plastic sack..
and the ladiez seem to like it nowadayz so it all works out
