I just bought a Shock Doctor cup/shorts combo from Amazon.com (it was on sale for $12, or so, down from $30 or $40.) It fits well, and is reasonably comfortable. The cup protrudes a bit more than I prefer (it looks a bit inappropriate.) Anyone else have experiences with these?
Recommendations for an affordable cup? _________________ 5th Geup Jidokwan Tae Kwon Do/Hap Ki Do

I have the ShockDoctor. It does "protrude". _________________ "Those who know don't talk. Those who talk don't know." ~ Lao-tzu, Tao Te Ching

For some reason, every cup I've recently come across is narrow and protrudes out too far. Not to be that guy, but it seems like everything's supposed to be stuffed in.
I miss the wider and less protruding ones. |

I just recently bought a Shock Doctor cup and strap too. It does bulge out a bit, but seeing as I'm wearing shorts over them it's not as apparent. Under gi on the other hand I can see where the concern is. Other than that it seems to be doing what it was made for. Well, at least for me it is. _________________ "When I have listened to my mistakes, I have grown." ~Bruce Lee |

That is unfortunate that it 'protudes' out.
The most I have seen from Shock Doctor are their mouth guards, and not much else. |

It protrudes enough that I don't want to wear the cup in class. _________________ "Those who know don't talk. Those who talk don't know." ~ Lao-tzu, Tao Te Ching
