Competition is great, but I don't have time for it anymore. The astmosphere of such a place is awesome, try to feed off the energy. Never be over confident, never have it in your mind that you are the better than anyone. This will keep you on your toes. Imagine having everyone in class telling you how good you are. You have beaten them all. Then not even placing at tournament.
This is your first so it will taken a few more to learn how to relax yourself. |

I did competition in the first 8 years of training. That was a long time ago now

I've done many tournaments with Shotokan producers, they are fun and very competitive in kata and sparring.

Competitions are awesome. The amount of people there is amazing, and from many different styles. The food is great, the women are awesome, and there is media coverage.
Of course that is in my HUMBLE opinion.

I do Shi-to Ryu Seikokai Karate do and I am first kyu, brown belt! My sensei is Ron Bagley and my head Sempai is Michelle Pierce.
