Thanks for the compliment.
I know that Shukokai is not a common style, and yes I agree it is nice to meet other Shukokai people. _________________ -- Rig

Not wishing to hijack this thread....
My 12 year old son is currently a 3rd KYU (1st brown)
I'm a 2nd KYU
My wife and younger son (6) don't train but the little `un might start when I think he's old enough (our club accepts children from 5, but I think he's not mature enough yet, maybe when he's 10-11) _________________ -- Rig

Hi there. Years ago as a kid i trained in shotokan and got to purple belt with a white stripe. I gave it up for 10 years and then went to my local Shukokai karate club. I did take one grading and i skipped from white belt to yellow with a score of 51/60. Unfortuantly because of being so advanced in Shotokan i didn't feel that i was reaching my full potential. I decided to go back to my old club and sensei accpeted me back on my own belt, i am now brown belt. My son is 9 and he is yellow belt. Shukokai is cool but i had to do what was best. Good look in your training. _________________ Walk away and your always a winner. www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk |
