I am getting an empty Fairtex 6ft banana bag, and wondered what you guys have heard to use to fill it. I was told sand and cedar chips or compressed rags. I would like to go strictly sand, but that sure is a hell of alot of sand!

d,
sand is way to heavy. come to my house and i'll show you a sand filled bag. it's overkill.
get some shredded tires and rags or old clothes.
another thing is rolled carpet backing. check out the black bag at the gym. thats how it is filled.
oh, and stop being such a puss.

Just when I thought you were gonna be nice, you end with "being a puss"---LOL.

I like that rolled carpet idea---that black bag is nice to hit. Mark also said about cedar chips with rags or sand. I want something that can condition my shins.

Maybe I'll see ya tonite if you get some balls and come to P-burg!

Well, puting just anything might cut your inside of your bag and it might be to soft. It also dosn't fill all the space if you just put in all junks. It might be to soft to is you put in carpet and all that stuff. Sand is way to hard...so my bad is filled wiht rice. cost some moeny but its really good

My bag is full of rags, compacted really hard so hitting it gives a nice impact... Heh, why don't u buy a banana tree, plant it, and when it's big enough u can kick it like the Thai Boxers do. Hahaha.
