I have started twirling some bamboo sticks just for the fun of it.
I find that my feet start moving every time I hit with the rear hand. The foot on the rear strike automatically moves backwards, as if I am hitting with a rear cross.
I find this is a gentle way of warming up, before I start my usual routine.
I know nothing of weapons training though.
