Yeah, it is pretty easy to get hooked on weapons. I do wonder though how many other middle aged females derive so much pleasure from looking at interesting weapons?
I saw a really interesting video clip. It was a short clip of the Isshinryu founder Shamabaku doing one of the bo katas. It wasn't very good quality film but it was interesting.

Hey KSN Doug, you are right I am looking for basically anything with weapons training involved...As for the middle eastern arts, believe it or not - you'd never find a place to learn them here. I dont know why, but In this country in particular many aspects of the arab heritage is kept away from non locals.
For example..you can't buy land here unless you are a local.
Sai - I do mean both really

Ah, you're not from there!!? Now I get it.
You can check out the Kuk Sool Won home page for another alternative for videos and books on weapons training. It is going to be difficult learning anything correctly in that manner, however.
Good luck. |

jiggy, I have the perfect tape for you to learn bo kata from, it is called mastering Isshinryu Bo by Master Ungi Uezu. It is available from Panther video products. I learned some great bo kata from it. Also you should check out all of panther videos on weapons, they are great. |
