hey guys im taking the grading test to go to 1st dan in shito ryu karate within 14 hrs. anyone got any tips on how to train for the grading? here are the requirement of the examination:

Perform Kata: Bassai Dai
Perform Kata: Bassai Dai Bunkai
Perform Kata: Seienchin
Perform Kata: Seienchin Bunkai
Perform Kata: Seipai
Do 50 pushups
Break a piece of wood (width of 1.5cm)
Compete In Sparring

First of all making sure that you have practice your kata and bunkai encough and are ready to perform it is probably the most difficult part (except for perhaps sparring). You either can do the pushups or not. If not...better start working on that too but I would think you can do them by now. As for the wood break (again) either you can do it or not. When perfroming the break remember good techniquie and most importantly focus through beyond the board. Good luck
