Tito shouldn't have to "make a persona"...this isn't pro wrestling. I think he's a great fighter, but not one of the best (I agree with Saku and Frank Shamrock as two of the best fighters.)

I like Pride fighting better than UFC, though. The US has tried to MAKE UFC=boxing by not allowing long [boring] grappling matches. I love watching technical fights on the ground, I guess that's from my BJJ. Pride is where all the big money is, and that's where all the big fighters will go.

I forgot Minotauro...he is also one of the Elite. A young fighter who armbarred Bob Sapp....that's like armbarring a tree trunk!

I cant believe nobody put Bustamonte as one of all time best. Crazy subs, good chin, seasoned, good cardio, he is top in my book.

i just want to say that i'm not a martial artist, i am a fighter though. and watching tito ortiz is breathtaking, his movement and concentration is amazing. i've seen every fight tito's been in and his loss to frank shamrock was silly. tito got caught up in an armbar or a legbar, i can't remember exactly but if you watch you'll see the dissapointment in his eyes. the ufc is getting rediculous but that's a different topic. i believe whole heartedly that tito is a champion, he has the heart and the determination to beat anyone, and i'll never count out frank although i gaurauntee that if they ever face eachother again... the outcome will be much much different, tito doesn't make the same mistake twice, he never has, he never will.

I wrote about this in another post. Tito is diffently a champion. The way he beat Frank Shamrock shows that.
