Hey all, Im pretty new here, but i didnt see this answered here.
I wanted to know what laws there are concering the ownership/transportation of deadly martial arts weapons? Im gonna start taking Kung Fu soon, and will end up wanting to transport whatever weapons im learning to and from school. Any info or links would be great! _________________ Cry in the Dojo, Laugh on the Battlefield. |

well, you have to realize that laws differ from country to country, state to state, city to city. i can tell you that right now in verona, WI, you can carry whatever you want if it's in a special carrying case. police are usually pretty understanding, though. _________________ "I hear you can kill 200 men and play a mean six string at the same time..."-Six String Samurai |

Look for your state's Dept. of Public Safety Webpage. Ask for a copy of State statutes, or if they have a list for you on a state/city web page. _________________ "I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination.

Just my opinion,
If a cop pulls you over and you're wearing a kung fu uniform and have nunchakus in your backseat, I really don't think you'll have a problem.
But if you're walking down the road with a sword under your coat, expect a problem. |

if you mean the naroo shirts with the frog buttons, i wear those all the time. they're comfortable and convenient. they're formal and casual. i don't understand why i should be arrested for wearing them, i see virtually nothing wrong with them. _________________ "I hear you can kill 200 men and play a mean six string at the same time..."-Six String Samurai |

I know here on the westcoast, just about every martial arts weapon seems to be illegal, but if you are training in a martial arts, and are transporting your training weapons to and from the dojo, then that's not usually a problem. _________________ Di'DaDeeeee!!!

i will tell you what i have knowledge with for the state of ohio, my instructor worked with the police force and other similar agencies, i was told i could keep them in my trunk and transport them too and from class to my home, yet i would always keep them in my trunk, if ever pulled over ...just saying you are coming back from class or going to class, just make sure that you have your gi to back up your claim......hmmmmm maybe this is bad advise, i just hope that you are honest and not going to be a serial killer _________________ That which does not destroy me will only make me stronger |

speaking of kung fu uniforms is there any cool links that you have to buy some nice outfits for cheap, they don't even have to be just uniforms, i like the style, nice comfortable and silk or something light weight? _________________ That which does not destroy me will only make me stronger |
