Sorry if this has been asked before,
why do they put vaseline on the face in MMA? |

They do it in boxing as well. I was always told that it was to reduce friction from gloves sliding on the face, making it less likely for someone to get cut. _________________ Kishimoto-Di | 2014-Present | Sensei: Ulf Karlsson

Its interesting I have always thought they should make gloves out of a material thats like balistic jelly but doesn't shear as easily. It would make cuts much less common and prevent fighters from head trauma. Of course the side effect would be knockouts would be much less common. I guess the sport would lose viewers. _________________ The key to everything is continuity achieved by discipline. |

That's what I thought. Thanks. _________________ "What we do in life, echoes in eternity."

It could be a cost thing, too. _________________ www.haysgym.com
