Use lighter weights and work with someone who knows form! Your form is more important at this stage than how much you can lift. Get involved in a good all around sport like karate or kickboxing. It will put on muscle without stunting your growth...plus it's more fun!

i agree with wooly u should use lighter weights before turning 16. ive been weight training since i was 14 but i started off to intensive and used to waste my self so i stopped after a few weeks and started when i turned 16 but it did stunt my growth a little

If you're fourteen you should be fine. Doctors and magazines are just worried about kids trying it and getting hurt.

As long as your careful and use lighter weights you should be ok.. I'm also 14 and thats the advice my trainers gave me
