I like Shotokan's hip movements and footwork. Once you get it down, you really get a feel of how powerful the style is.

I like my style's, Shi-to Ryu's, subtle movements. A lot of people think our moves that maybe smaller than Shotokan's, cannot give us power. We have it. Plus I love the range of Kata we have. Officially, we have 43 Tournament allowed katas. In actuallity, we have more than 60 kata.

Well I train in Tae Kwon Do and Kenpo. I love the Tae Kwon Do for the kicking but it lacks in realistic self defense. I love kenpo for its hand techniques and self defense tech. but it lacks in kicking. Put the two together and you get the best of both worlds.

I have not found anything in the Arts I don't like.

I train in shotokan and I love it for many reasons:
- i've learnt some self defence
- it allows me to work my muscles and to become even more atractive
- I have fun and I can relax in an active manner
- I learn coordination and God knows I needed that
- the movements are interesting and beautiful
- love to do kata and sparr with my friends
- and I look great in karategi
The main reason Is that I LOVE it
Seems a good choise for me so far.
Probably I'll take up hon-do-ryu pretty soon. So I'll double the joy

I do TKD, but what I saw Ann's (ShotoAnn) class do suprised the heck outta me. I was watching them do kata. Then they did bunkai (sp). I'm sure you Japanese stylist know what this is (using techniques within the forms as defenses). I did TSD, and I know how to do Pyung ahn cho dan (Heian Shodan) ..... well I thought I did. When I saw them do the bunkai for it, I was floored. I thought that was such a simple form, but it does have defenses in it. It made me want to look at my TKD forms in the same way. Now I wanna know what the moves are for. It might re-spark my interest in TKD. Thanks Shotokan peoples

I love my art , Goju ryu Karate-do, for everything it is, one thing that I like about it is it's balence of Hard and Soft.

Be as hard as the world forces you to be.
Be as soft as the world allows you to be.

I've enjoyed about everything there is/was to learn in all my training. Right now since I am currently training in Kenpo/Kempo, I enjoy all the self defense techniques that my system offers. I also enjoy the katas and weapons katas. Many of our katas have a combination of hard and soft moves. They are all rather long, but that's what makes training fun plus many of the moves comprise that of our self defense tecniques.

I like TKD because it requires a lot of stamina and athleticism, it is a tremendous workout! I also like the quickness of sparring, the way it helps my agility (I have become so much more coordinated!!).The forms leave a lot for personal interpretation (as far as how fast, strong, loud, etc.) I like proving people who say "TKD STINKS!" wrong because we learn a lot of self defense at my school.

BJJ is a whole new world. I guess starting it is like being re-born. First the world seemed so small, but every move we learn, we realize there are variations, defenses, everything is so big and confusing! BJJ is like chess; it requires soooo much thinking and strength, especially in the legs and abdominals! I also love how close I have become with my teammates due to constant sparring!
