I do all-styles, but what does that mean? Are there any kinds of kickboxing other than that? Just never thought about it until now and won't see my instructor until Tuesday.

The different styles of kickboxing that are commonly practed today in most of the major organizations are.

Full Contact : All punches and kicks above the waiste and boot to boot sweeps in most places are allowed.

Int'l Rules: Kickboxing with Low Kicks allowed sometimes with knees as in K1.

Sanshou: Chineese Kickboxing , Kickboxing with Low Kicks and throws are also allowed.

Mauy- Thai : Kickboxing with Low Kicks,Knees ,Elbows, and clinching is allowed

Those are the common kickboxing rules practices Worldwide.

Other stand up rules:

The Semi -Contact rules are point fighting and is not Kickboxing.

Light contact is A stepping stone to Full contact rules as the rules are simular on paper except there is no hard contact allowed at all. So these rules are not Kickboxing ,but sometimes is referred to as Lightcontact kickboxing.
