I think Chi Sao competition are fine as long if we don't forget and teach the traditional way. Wing Chun is not a sport art and I hate to see it turn into one. So as long as our focus for training is on tradition or budo as in Japanese arts I feel it fine to let student modified their techniques for tournaments.
