I am starting Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and I would like to purchase a kimono. What brands do you recommend? Also, what weave? Single, Double, or Gold? Thank you very much.

I would recommend a fairly cheap Judogi to start with - until you are certain that BJJ is for you. Then I woulod switch to a quality product like a Krugan or Machado.

If you go for a Judogi - get it a size smaller than they recommend for Judo.

Hey. I would get a free uniform for signing up, so even if it's crap it'll have to do seeing as I am poor as dirt and these uniforms are expensive:)
