Well, favorite kung fu (or martial arts in particular) usually is subjective. One person's favorite is another person's poison. My advice, try out different kung fu that offer a free trail then make a decision based on what you are most comfortable with.

Welcome to KF, Pagaran; glad that you're here!!

Imho, there's no 'best' MA, just favorites. Why? We're fallible to a fault, therefore, not perfect, thusly, prone to many mistakes.

WC is amongst the most preferable of Kung-fu styles, and of course, it's popularity increased with Bruce Lee, and the like.

I agree, no martial art is the best. As far as popularity goes, I constantly hear about Wing Chun, JKD, Hung Gar and Tai Chi.

I also recommend as neoravencroft said, try out the places near you. Almost all martial art schools allow a free class or two so you can see what it's like. Try a bunch out, see which one fits your interests the most.

There are literally hundreds of martial arts systems that are called "Kung fu". The best is whatever Kung fu one commits to training. Some are very rare outside of China or Chinese heritage communities. Others are very popular with branches and schools easily found.

The first step is to see what is offered within an accessible area. It is of little relevance if one wishes to learn Wing Chun, but the nearest Teacher or school is in another country.
