After a night of smoke filled clubs and high decibel techno music, my nose bleeds.

So how is it that full contact fighters can take kicks, elbows, and punches to the face and not have blood pouring out?

Is there some kind of resistence that builds up after being hit many times?

Heh. I'm no doctor and I know next to nothing..

But, I'm sure if I hit a full contact fighter on his nose, I would easily break and make it bleed if hit in the right spot! I guess it depends WHERE you get it.. Like, get hit on the arm and you don't bleed, but just near the eyebrow you'll bleed like there's no tommorrow.

I think they got hit so many times they do get stronger.

My question is, dose it make your noise big and wide and flat? All thou boxers's noise even the white ones have big flat noise. OR they have a big noise and it just comes down like a slop looks weird.

Yes i have noticed most boxer have flat noses

but it would depend how hard you get hit that makes your nose bleed or around your face

Over here in the UK you can get your nose quarterised. They severe the veins or something in your nose so it doesn't bleed any more. They use chemicals or lasers. I know a lot of people who have had it done. It doesn't hurt of effect your sense of smell.

Noses - I know about noses

My daughter had that done to her nose today - last week she walked into a wall at school & broke it. Stupid wall lept out of nowhere and attacked her It's been bleeding every morning since then and is getting worse!

Last time I broke my nose the doc said, after looking at the X-Ray, that the left side of my nose looked like an egg shell that someone had whacked with a spoon - and that i had a hairline fracture going from the bridge of my nose across my cheekbone under my left eye. Basically he said that if I do it again my cheek will break & my eye will drop down behind it - Yeeeeouch! Went right out and bought the best headguard I could find (stopping sparring isn't an option).

I'm just guessing but would blood clots have anything to do with the reason that there noses dont bleed all that easily?

I find that I get hit in the nose often, and I don't bleed. But something light, like hitting a wall slightly, that makes it bleed like crazy. Also, when it is really hot when I sleep, there is blood on my nose and all over my pillow. It's weird.
