Maybe you'd like to try something japanese to be in the "family", karate for instance. Karate and aikido are a good mixture. Add some judo and you'd be quite rounded. You might add some SUMO also _________________ World Shotokan Karate |

WC works best in the same distance as Aikido, but gives you more ammo to handle the turf. WC gives you fast and vicious strikes to do before going for the Aikido stuff. You'll end up with a more aggressive Aikido style. |

Hmm......... well, I think WC and Aikido work best at the trapping/standing grappling end of the spectrum. Althouth a good Irimi Nage could out range most good kickers and you gotta love joint manipulation on the ground. But thats because I do Aikido and I am baised
I think like Kirves said you are basically going to compliment superoir Aikido techniques with powerful striking.
Personally, I think the best mix with Aikido is Judo. Mainly because of the conditioning and most Judo dojo's will throw ya about a lot, so you get to know what it feels like to take a few knocks. Ne Waza (ground fighting) is also a great way to get fit AND learn very important ideas about "real" fights. Although a kicking art would be useful, I dont think its SO important as grappling. It all really depends on how much you want to do. But you do train against kicks in Aikido, get someone to attack you with a Jo and thats the best anti kick training there is.
IMHO
