Just found out that both me and my son will be testing for our yellow belts in April. I think it is great that we train together and am excited about the possibly of getting our belts together. Our Sensei said that this might be our hardest test of all ranks due to the fact of having knowing nothing when we started. We have to to do stances, blocks, strikes, 4 kata, and 5 step kumite.

One's first belt test can be just as rewarding, perhaps even more so, than a black belt test. I am sure it is even more gratifying to achieve this with your child. Best wishes to you in your MA journey.

Respectfully,

Sohan

Had class tonight and both me and my son passed our test and received our yellow belts. .
I was more proud to see him get his than anything. He worked hard and earned it. Now I am looking forward to more learning and training

Congratulations. It is always particularly nice to shed the white belt for something with some color!

I graded with my daughter a few weeks ago. We graded for different belts but at same time.

It really is great when you are involved in something together. She was also grading to yellow belt. Was so proud

Congrats. Always feels better to have some color around your waist.
