I practice from time to time. I also incorporate some yoga with my club. My hope is to gain more experience and see where it goes. _________________ The past is no more; the future is yet to come. I practiced yoga from many years and I think it is the best technique to remain healthy and we can control our mind very effectively. If we have support of yoga then we will become best in karate and any other tactics related to martial arts. |

I've dabbled in yoga when I was much younger. When I say dabbled, I mean, I tried it out for a short period, and then said, "Hey, that's cool, but just not my cup of tea!"
I believe it's a beneficial thing to do, and to add into ones MA training, but, for me, it wasn't and still isn't part of my MA training.

I train in Raja Yoga once a week, it helps my focus, poise and flexibility. _________________ Look to the far mountain and see all. |

Yoga does not just condition the body; the key is the relaxation it can offer. This is the key to all Karate, if you are relaxed, the techniques are faster and you act with more efficiency and focus. _________________ Look to the far mountain and see all. |

Strength, flexibility, low impact on joints. stress relief...all good reasons for martial artists to practice yoga!

And, if done with dynamic resistance offers a cardio component as well!
