|
I think this is the correct forum to ask my question.
What is the best sparring gear available?
And where can I get it? (website)
Is all sparring gear basically the same? Id like to go ahead and fork out the dough to buy some quality gear, so it will last a while and feel better, i dont want to be worried about my gear falling off or anything while im sparring.
Thanks in advance! |

Actually the equipment section would have been more appropriate, but in regards to your question, it depends on the type of sparring gear your looking for. Example, foam vs. vinyl vs. leather. You can almost guarantee that most if not all foam gear will fall apart after time or constant use. The soft vinyl may hold up better, but I'm not certain as I have yet to truely test it. Leather, your limited to gloves, shin/instep, and head gear. I have yet to see leather foot gear made for sparring.
I suggest you do a search for sparring gear on the net, you'll hit lots matches. Check out Ebay, you may find most name brands there for maybe less than a martial arts supply place. Check with your instructor and maybe he can get you a deal. Shop around. _________________ Di'DaDeeeee!!!

I'll move this one to the equipment section. Probably will get more help there. _________________ "If your hand goes forth withhold your temper"

I've got most of my stuff either off ebay (you can get some great bargains!) or bought direct from Faze or Blitz. _________________ "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." The Beautiful South - The Rose of My Cologne
