So, you have to test twice for EACH rank, hmm, maybe I should start doing that, sounds like a good revenue opportunity j/k. Is there any way you can get around the 'recomended' rank, and just go to the 'decided' one, I've never heard of anything like this, but it seems a lil iffy to me. |

1st, 2nd, and 3rd dan ranks all have a recommended and then a decided rank to them. Once I get to 4th dan, there is no other rec/decided thing. However, I am not very excited about this at all. The 4th dan testing probably goes for around $500 or $600. _________________ www.haysgym.com

Hey Bushido, i can't really comment properly because we have different currencies, can anyone convert that into english pounds? When we take a dan grade it's normally around £75, then if you want a decent embroidered belt it's an additional £60. So if someone can convert that into dollars then we can compare. _________________ Walk away and your always a winner. www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk |

We usually charge about 2-300 for Shodan, Nidan, and Sandan. Not sure what the fees are for anything higher but you should ask for a rundown for what the fee covers. If the organization refuses to give you the breakdown...well. I would have less faith to be honest. _________________ .
