In ju jitsu does anyone else do ground wrestling,is that what randori is in judo, because ive read alot sayin ju jitsu dusn't train with resisting opponents but in the class i attend we do wrestle but we also learn the more 'dangerous' techniques (throws locks dislocatins etc).

japanese jujutsu, correct? whether or not you randori in jujutsu will vary from school to school, I'd imagine. as for randori, that's not just groundwork - it's stand up too - basically, it's free sparring.

Well the three styles of jujitsu taught in our area all do some sort of grappling. They do stand up grappling and on the ground as well. I think when judo was first invented, jujitsuka didn't do randori, but they've had a lot of time to rethink their ways and adapt.

Judo is jiu jitsu that has it's focus on throwing and was changed for sport purpose. Take a look at the mpeg's on www.judoinfo.com I think you will see a lot of jiu jitsu.
