I dont watch to many muay thai fights but i was wondering if you guys could tell me the most common kick used in these matches.

Im assuming its the round kick to the thigh.

Also do they have side kicks in mauy thai...

One more thing, would these kicks be used the same amount in a real situation or would other kicks be prefered.

Thanks alot.

if your talking about throwing a kick in a street fight, then you could throw any kick you want even in a match but i think they stick to just the basic kicks.

the most common you'll see are the roundhouse (all variations are used - low, middle, high, cut kick, etc) and the teep kick.

yes, it has a sidekick, but you may not learn it... MT classifies kicks into arcing and thrusting categories. the sidekick, as a thrusting kick is included, but it's not used much in thai fights.

yes, those kicks are fine in a real confrontation.
