This is interesting and very thought provoking. It is a very deep and extremely serious subject. I can see both points of view. Cultural differences are something that is easy to overlook and easy to misunderstand.

I can see where he might see the need to defend his wife if the perps were doing something that made her feel like she was in danger....I just feel that it could have been handled differently. Im sure his wife is up crying every night wishing he would have just walked away with her.

ytou know what angus youre always with this front about how tough it is in australia and about how tough you gotta be /..please its boring allready..new york is much worse and believe me in the mean streets here is much better to go home alive then to worry about saving face.and portraying some hero.they dont play here.you could be shot here in the face simply by looking at someone the wrong way..why do all of youre post have to sound like something out of the "west side story?"..ohh i got confronted by a gang of bad guys...but i prevailed...im a good martial artist..ohh im tough please allready!!!!
