Lime in the bottle is actually a trendy thing. Limes were put in the can (when it was in cans) to mask the taste of the cheap metal can.

...yet another "beer" topic after the weekend!!

Very good theory....
I've not seen anyone explain this as well as Cliff Clavin, on Cheers. (the TV show)
One afternoon at Cheers, Cliff Clavin was explaining the Buffalo Theoryto his buddy Norm.
Here's how it went:

"Well, ya see, Nahm, it's like this.
A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it's the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of
the weakest members.
In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But, naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

My intake exceeded the allowable limit for maximum benefits this past weekend.

Another Cheers quote from the Frasier episode a few weeks ago when they all met at Cliff's retirement party.
"Hey Norm, what's going down?"
"My blood alcohol level." as he grabs a new beer. "Suds, do your thing!"

Hehehe. What a great show.

I still miss walking down the street with a beer in my hand talking to friends over in Russia. Needless to say, walking around drinking alcohol on the street (unless you're in New Orleans) is frowned upon around here.

NEXT MONTH, News Corp.’s FX cable-TV network is expected to broadcast a one-hour special called the “World Beer Games.” The program, which first broadcasts at 10:30 p.m. June 8, features teams of young men and women from around the world competing for the title of “world’s best beer nation” and a silver-plated beer-keg trophy.
