Does anyone here have a critique of Krav Maga??? I've been fairly impressed when I listen to practitioners of the system... Does anyone see problems with the system... if so, what are they?

From what I understand it is an extremely well put together system. When I do hear complaints about it, it usually has to do with the intensity in which they train.

I've got no complaints with it at all. It's very direct, scientific, and to the point. It's been used by military, civilians, women, and children. I like about 99% of everything they do.

That, however, isn't to say that all instruction and instructors are capable of teaching it, regardless of their claims. Anything that's profitable has imitators, frauds, and liars riding its coattails.

Right, as with most things, quality control tends to be an issue. The core idea of the art is sound and it's been tested under adverse conditions in a lot of settings. But, there are watered down versions and classes to get certified via minimal attendance in Krav "concepts" or such.

As with any art, I'd check out the school before I bought in, verify the lineage back to what branch it comes out of and go from there.

That's about the best advice that I think that anyone can give here.

It's a great art. It's the Israeli Military's self-defense system primarily designed to keep people alive it the streets of militant cities. It's a very effective no frills system designed to rapidly incapacitate the attacker. There are a few interesting principals that come out of it: Bursting and 360 degree blocking.

The short live TV show Human Weapon did a good job profiling in this episode: http://youtu.be/v8a3h1y9l7g

I used to watch this show religiously. I miss it! It was for the most part fairly unbiased and it shed a good light on the systems it covered.
