For some reason there are almost no fighting games for the PC.
The only one I've found is called Oni. Came out a while ago, Its sort of anime-style in 3d person view. But the fighting is the best I've seen... punches, kicks, throws, combos, moves, etc.. (animated well and many similar to actaul martial arts techniques) check out the game site at http://oni.godgames.com/ and download the demo or pick it up at a store or just download the game. |

Right - I'm gunna upset a lot of ppl here now.
The reason that there are no fighting games for the PC is that fighting games have very short playability spans. Its all the same basically - you just punch and kick and that's it.
The designers/developers knew that ppl who own PCs would rather have indepth, more boring games.
SEGA did release Virtua Fighter 1+2 on the PC, but they never sold well.
WCW Nitro was released on the PC, but it was a bad game anyway, so it wouldn't sell well.
The same reason why Metal Gear Solid 1 wasn't released on the PC - too short.
It works both ways - Deus Ex sold a hell of a lot more on the PC than on the PS2
Make up your own minds thou - thats just what I think (and have been told)
C ya

Shadow Warrior http://babtech.com/shadwar.html is a three dimensional game with decent graphics designed by 3D Realms. There are plenty of monsters and different types of weapons and aids to help you through each map or level. Like the id software type and Duke Nukem games you can play with another player via your modems. Also, you can play multiplayers through a serial connection.

Deby, I think you have the wrong end of the stick.....
U are thinking about 3D First Person Shooters, which the PC is very good at making
They were talking about Fighting games - u know, like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat
Easy mistake to mak

I have a copy of Shadow Warrior for PC. It was pretty good! I liked the phrases they gave him. Oh yeah, and the girls in the bath houses! |

Its simple. If i wanted to play a fighting game i would go on my playstation open my mouth, drool, and press buttons constantly in random order to win a match in a fighting game.
OR
I could go on my computer and play a complex game using the mind, and a variation of strategies.

Jeez...
If I hit completely random buttons in a match with my brother on Super Smash Brothers Melee, he'd absolutely murder me.
