What is the gold weave fabric like? Is it heavy. IS IT SOFT OR IS IT LIKE A HEAVY WEIGHT CANVAS GI? Is it strong as a double weave? Some info please

Gold weave is a kind of fabric used in some of the BJJ gis I've seen. Here is an explanation I got from http://www.jiujitsuconnection.com...

"WHAT IS GOLDEN WEAVE



Is made out of 100% cotton fabric, and is commonly used in the furniture business in Brazil. The weave is interwoven into a square base cloth similar to a Waffle Pattern.



Mizuno has designed and produced a new a Golden Weave Hybrid. Constructed of the latest technology, light weight and stronger than any Golden Weave out there.



Currently Adidas is using the same design and material from Mizuno's Conquest series for their Signature Jiu-Jitsu line.

NOTE: NOT ALL BJJ FEDERATIONS REQUIRE FOR PLAYERS TO USE ONLY THE GOLDEN WEAVE KIMONO!"
