How are people seeing this one?

My head keeps saying Makhachev since he is a machine and has shown almost no weaknesses so far (he did get ko'd by a great shot in one fight but tbh everyone can be ko by a perfect punch) but then i keep thinking of how surprising Volkanovski always is.

I keep remembering that he used to be a good standard rugby player too at 215lb or so, so he can handle being physical with larger men and won't be shocked by the strength.

Myself i am leaning 60/40 in favour of Makhachev but wouldn't be massively surprised by the upset.

What does everyone else think?

I'm going with Makhachev because he has Khabib and the entire AKA behind him. Volk was nearly submitted by Ortega in their fight, and Volk stated that he was on the verge of losing the belt; I can only imagine how it will end up with Makhachev. My personal opinion

yeah. Tbh i can't see anyone at LW beating Makhachev. Only one i can see having even a slight chance is Chandler since he hits like a truck - always a chance of a one hit ko - though unlikely

I was surprised at how quickly he dispatched Olivera; I thought Olivera's grappling was unrivaled and that no one could beat him until the Daghestanis proved me wrong.

Definitely. Was an excellent fight. 48-47 either way seemed fair to me as i was unsure on the winner of the first round. The judge who gave it 49-46 was crazy!

Was nice to see that the UFC kept Volk as P4P no 1 after the fight too. Have a feeling this could be a trilogy in the offing!
