Hey everybody i am new here
I was wondering if anybody had a makiwara bag like this one here
we are looking at the one with the man i was wondering i want to hang that on my wall how would i hang something so heavy does anybody have one of these if so can you tell me how you have it set up

| Hello, I have the exact same bag, the body outline one....I had mine filled with sand and had it hanging from 4 "s" hooks in a concrete wall....the wall was fine but the grommets ripped where they met the canvas...so it had to be retired..blood stains and all!!! |

This is a nice forum
It ripped the concrete wall wow i was trying to find a way to hang it in my room i think it will break my wall so i have to find a way to make it less weight on the floor |

| You could only fill the middle OR top section and secure it that way..I never struck the lower partor the top for that matter, I could then raise or lower it and have a new striking surface....OR you could place a foam pad in the front and fill the back with raw beans.. |

As far as mounting on a wall....if you can find a stud in the wall, your local hardware store should have the necessary materials to hang heavy objects on walls. You may need to use a few depending on how much the thing weighs, though.

You can also use a stud finder. I think it works on the same theory as the knocking method, basically. Some walls are too thick for knocking though, and that's where the finders come in. My house has pretty thin walls, so the knocking method works very well. I would try that first just so you don't have to buy a stud finder (if you don't already own one). They're pretty cheap I think, but if you don't need one, then hey.
