I appreciate the opinions I got on my last post, thank you. Anyway, I'm now looking for a no nonsense type of martial art; One that has no belt system, katas, and teaches everything for self defense and is well rounded. I've heard of Krav Mega, but I'm not sure about the gun defense. Are there any others like this?

You can be as good at fighting as you want, but if some 16 stone beast whacks you in the face, you are going down, no two ways about it. Of course, not getting hit would be good!!!

Well there's Krav Maga as you have stated. There is also Jeet Kune Do, and many other self defense systems out there like Defendo, American Combato, SCARS, etc. You'd just have to do your research in regards to many of these reality based self defense systems. Oh, and Krav Maga does have a belt system from what I've been told down at the national HQ in Los Angeles.
