Could anyone tell me the differences between a Judo gi and Karate gi? They look pretty similar as far as I can tell. How is the cut? Do they offer the same range of movement as a karate gi?
I see they are very durable looking I am considering buying one for karate. Thanks in advance. _________________ Pain is only temporary, the memory of that pain lasts a lifetime. |

Judo Gi - Thick, Heavy, Durable
Karate Gi - Thin, Light, Questionable Durability _________________ Limits Are Not Accepted. They Are Elbowed, Kicked And Punched.

I think the pant legs and sleeves are shorter on a Judo gi, but I could be wrong. _________________ 1st Dan Hapkido

Thanks for the info. If they are as durable as my heavy weight gi I give one a try. Are they cut loosly enough to kick and punch freely? _________________ Pain is only temporary, the memory of that pain lasts a lifetime. |

A judo-gi is your best choice for grappling. You can move around freely and have less risk of having your gi torn apart when being thrown around. _________________ The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. |
