hi, im now starting up wing chun and later jeet kune do, the guy who runs it told me they do alot of tournaments, i was wondering if they have weight rules like boxing as if seen some members at the gym and they look well tough.

if it has what would be best weight to be ?

It doesn't really matter, you don't get to choose your weight category, its chosen for you based on your weight.

Don't worry yourself over it too much. After all, a 250 lb hulking brute can't take a punch to the throat any better than a little 100 lb guy can. Wing Chun's about tact.

People on this board aren't familar with the tournament rules that you're going to enter. Every tournament has different rules and the rules might even vary from tournament to tournament down there.
