It's a front stance. I'm not too crazy about the back foot but maybe this is how other stylists do it.

The one that gets the job done

Quit thinking so much about "proper" stance, if the "proper" stance is anything but the most effiecent and natural one for what you are doing you're definition of "proper" gas been skewed.

Naming them just causes problems, especially when they are named in another language.

I actually meant is it a correct stand, I thought your left hand was suposed to be hooked upward.

Well it's a Gyaku Tsuky performed in Zenkutsu Dachi (the stance is a little weird ... the back leg shouldn't have the knee bent ... it should be straight.)
And the stance in the first pisture is too high ... and the left fist should be closer to the knee (Gedan barai is supposed to protect it in that stance)
Let other Shotokans come and tell us more

It looks to me like an illustration of the position of the hips when beginning the rotation used when punching-similar to an open stance. I

That technique is common place in freestyle karate.

He is starting in a sparring stance, then moving into zenkutsu datchi with the punch. It is very common in karate.

In my style, the foot would be flat on the floor, and the leg would be straighter in the zenkutsu datchi. Also, his wrist angle looks a little extreme.
