I love pain!
I think it comes down to your mental state more than anything... If you want to transcend pain, you'll tend to thrive off it to a certain extent rather than someone who doesn't want to feel any pain at all.

I keep quoting this since I've heard it off KickChick,

Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to go to his class.

Are you related to a Yuuzhan Vong? Tsavong Lah or Yomin Carr, perhaps? (Hehe just wanted to do this, couldn't resist!).

Yomin Carr and Tsavong Lah are Star Wars characters. I do not know if you like Star Wars or not, many don't, I just do. They are from the New Jedi Order series of books. They actually come from a completely different galaxy altogether. One unique thing about them is they cherish pain. They believe it brings them into closer unity with the cosmic universe. They love to feel pain and constantly inflict it upon themselves to relish in it. Thus the New Republic (the good guys) are at a complete loss... because if they don't hurt them, they'll automatically lose. If they do, the Yuuzhan Vong like it, and are not afraid to die in combat. Thus they are a great threat.

Well there's a nice easy solution to that. Give them a painless death.

Pain is just weakness leaving the body. Deal with it and become stronger.

Pain is a natural response to injury or harm, no weakness in that. There's a disease in which you feel no, or very little, pain. Its called leprosy. Most lepers are missing body parts because they cannot feel when they are damaged.

In some instances it is dangerous. But without regular exposure to it you do become weak. When a situation arises where pain is inevitable a person who can tolerate pain will survive. If a person hardly ever experiences pain than that person will go crying home to his mother ever time he stubs his toe or gets a black eye. There is a certain amount of pain invloved with makwara training, full contact sparring, and dateing, but people continue to do it without complaining .

Pain in itself though is not a weakness, that's a very common mistake. Admitting to pain is not a bad thing except possibly in the middle of a fight.
