I don't know why but I find that quite funny!
I've never used it in the street; people don't pick on me for some reason so that is good. I'd like to think I go through life without ever having to beat some daft person up.

When an experienced karate-ka want to punch someone (even if it is just for fun) he would naturally use the karate-punch, because he knows how to control the punch.
If you have learned to write error-free english, you would naturally write error-free
If you, when in a fight say: "Okay, he is a very good fighter, I must use that difficult punch, my karate-teacher showed me... hmm.. letīs see" then you need more practice.
Can you say "I didnīt use karate on him", if you twisted your arm while punching him?
If an experienced karate-ka fights with a free mind, he always uses his karate-experience in some way, for example in punching, footwork, breathing or whatever. |

It wasnīt my meaning to criticize your english spelling.. I am not a good english-speller myself...
I just mean, that some of the techniques you learn in karate, are old and can maybe not directly be set in in a fight situation.
But whether you train for example karate, kung fu or boxing, it will always help alot, when you are in a real fight.
If you can use the right techniques effective at the right time, you have a good chance to beat opponent - but it takes a lot of practising.
If you only concentrate on making a technique, youīve just learned to karate, when you are in a fight, your opponent may find out and prepare a counter-attack.
- Yes, I always use the experience/muscles, I gained from karate (in some way), when I fight... and I think everyone does |
