Happy New Year all!
Thought I'd dig this thread out. How did everybody do with their goals in 2019?

Thought I'd kick us off on our New Year's Resolutions.
For me I want to:
1. Get more consistent in my own training
2. Grow my club to 100 members (starting the New Year with 32)
Anyone else want to share their goals? |
As for mine I did do more training myself but not as much as I'd hoped. Consistently getting 1 hr a week where my blackbelts and I just train... but limited other training except for general bodyweight exercises and running at home.
I didn't hit 100 members unfortunately (only 80!) But we decided ourselves to pull back on new members. Our kids classes are full with a waiting list and our teen and adult classes typically get 10 to 15 regulars. We decided that now we are comfortably paying rent and overheads and not worrying about losing money, we're going to focus on bringing on the quality of our students and let the results do the marketing. _________________ "Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it." ~ Confucius |

My News Years Resolutions for 2019:
1) Finish my memoir, which I began writing in 2010...FINALLY!!
2) Reach my weight loss goal, which started back in October 2016...FINALLY!! |
Yeah, I failed miserably across the board!! Therefore, I'll not make any New Year's resolutions anymore!!

1. Deal with some health/Mobility issues.
2. Not have to give up Karate (see Number 1..................) |
1. Managing OK so far and a surgery to fix one problem coming up in a few weeks.
2. Happy to say that I am feeling a LOT happier about things right now, Shodan grading coming up in June and so far my body has handled the extra training OK.
So pretty happy about 2019 from a karate perspective. _________________ "We don't have any money, so we will have to think" - Ernest Rutherford |
