I've just started training with ankle weights.
I was wondering if there was a risk of injury when doing leg raises as the weight makes you swing your leg further. Isn't there a risk of pulling a muscle or something ?
I'd also like to know if any of you have exercise ideas with those ankle weights (apart from kicking with them of course...)

well that isn't bad doing leg raises with weights
but as long as you don't go fast with the weights lifing your leg up and down then the other and so on. then it wont cause a problem If you go not to fast.

running with ankle weights gives you a nice burning feeling!
also, I like to stretch with my butt against the wall in side-split position with weights on, just let gravity do its job then. |

Try not to let your kicks flail. Remember when you are kicking you are not just hitting them with your foot you are trying to push through them with it. You should always stretch before workouts as well.

Leg swings/raises with ankle weights are good, but I've heard that performing kicks with them can damage the knee. |

Correct - the best place for ankle weights is back on the shelf in the shop.
