I've mentioned this before: I started martial arts in my mid-30's, and didn't do too much physical before that. While I lacked flexibility in my legs, I suffer from hyper-mobility in my shoulders. I am making progress with regular exercise (PT-based, mostly.) Overall, I think it's very worth it.

Keep up the good work singularity6, just remember, the first 100.000 steps are the hardest.

Better to have stiffness, aches and pains from having a physical workout that to have all the same symptoms while surfing the couch watching tv IMHO.

I had trouble with balance, but that was probably affected by my MS. Flexibility is still an issue but has improved. The biggest thing though is probably time. Managing it with all my other responsibilities.
